Steph features in BBCs ‘Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is’. Stephanie Moon’s first show was transmitted on 11th April on BBC 1.
This is the ultimate challenge for the nation’s top chefs. Stephanie goes head to head with other top chefs buying ingredients, bartering with market stall holders, preparing dishes and selling them to diners at some of the country’s most diverse restaurants. Whoever makes the most money and sells the most dishes is the winner. It’s a cut throat competition!
Stephanie raised over £1500 during her three appearances. This money will go to three charities chosen by Stephanie; Follifoot Disabled Horse Riders, Simon on the Streets and Upper Wharfedale Mountain Rescue.
Stephanie was delighted to be back on television after the Great British Menu:
“It has been fantastic to work with TV Chefs Ed Baines, James Tanner and Galton Blackiston. These guys first appeared on Ready Steady Cook. They are old hands, I felt like the new girl!
The competition was fun but incredibly hard work to buy, cook and film in one day for a busy restaurant style service that evening. Each day was very different. Galton Blackiston is a chef I knew from my days working in Norfolk. He’s known as Mr Cool but I rattled him! James Tanner has been on TV more times than I have had hot dinners but he was great fun and we cooked for over 200 people. Ed Baines is very competitive and our venue was stunning for this challenge and in fact it reminded me very much of Rudding Park.”
Watch Stephanie’s three appearances on Thursday 11 April, Thursday 18 April and Friday 26April on BBC One at 3:45pm.
